Ali Walsh is the founder of Life on a Rice Cake, a website for people with coeliac disease.
Ali was diagnosed coeliac in the 90s and is keen to help others lead better gluten-free lives. Packed with valuable advice and straightforward strategies, Ali firmly believes there is a way to make life easier, no matter how difficult things might seem.
Ali is an accomplished speaker and writer, regularly appearing on BBC radio with many of her published articles in Gluten-Free Heaven magazine. She lives in Bristol with her husband and two naughty little people who love covering themselves in chocolate.

Since winning MasterChef UK 2016 I have had some incredible experiences. Worked with amazing chefs including Gordon Ramsey, Marcus Waring, Michelle Roux Jr, Jason Atherton & Atul Kochhar to name a few. I have worked from Dubai to the Highlands of Scotland, Thailand to my local pub & its been incredible.
My focus has always been on Gluten Free Food, My youngest son Ben was diagnosed when he was 2 years old with Coeliac Disease and it has become a passion of mine to ensure his food is as good as anyone else’s. That he is given the same menu choices and understanding that he can eat off of a menu with the peace of mind knowing he is safe. I just want to serve great food to everyone; accessible food regardless of food intolerances or choices.
To this end I have been delighted to publish two cookery books Hassle Free Gluten Free & Vegetarian Hassle Free Gluten Free. I was also appointed Coeliac UK Ambassador a role I am proud to undertake with particular emphasis on the early diagnosis of children & helping families adjust to their new diet.
